Cheesy Chicken Liver
Chicken liver is very healthy. It is full of iron, vitamins, and different types of minerals. Here are two easy and tasty preparations made with chicken liver.
Cheesy Chicken Liver
Ingredients:
• 250 grams Chicken liver
• Handful of garlic cloves
• 1 tomato
• Mozzarella cheese
• Salt
• Butter
• Oregano
Preparation:
Cut chicken liver into medium pieces. Wash it properly and keep aside. Crush garlic and chop the tomato very finely. Grate cheese
Process:
Melt butter on a pan, lightly sauté the chicken livers and keep them aside. Add crushed garlic in the melted butter and fry. Now add chopped tomato and salt and cook till gravy is made. If you need water to make gravy then add it. When the gravy is prepared add fried livers in it and cook till the liver gets tender.
At last, sprinkle grated cheese over the preparation and before removing it from oven sprinkle oregano. Serve this preparation hot with bread. It is very light and nutritious. It can be served as patient’s food also. The cheese in the preparation is also a good source of calcium and iron.
Chicken Liver with Chili:
This preparation is slightly hot.
Ingredients:
• 300 grams chicken liver
• 5 fresh green chilies
• 1 capsicum
• 2 table spoon onion paste
• 1 table spoon garlic paste
• ½ teaspoon ginger paste
• 2 tablespoon black soy sauce
• 2-3 black pepper seed
• Cooking oil
Preparation:
Cut chicken livers into small pieces. Chop green chilies and eliminate seeds from it. Crush black pepper corns. Cut capsicum into cubes.
Process:
Heat oil and fry chicken liver pieces till brown. Keep them aside. After that in the hot oil add onion paste, garlic paste and ginger paste respectively. Keep stirring. Then add chicken liver and cook it in that spice. Add little water to make the gravy. Add salt to taste.
When the preparation has turned to thick gravy add green chili, black pepper powder and capsicum. Cook it for a minute and then remove it from heat. To make this preparation healthier you may add vegetables like carrot, chopped french beans, cabbage, broccoli, etc. This preparation is slightly hot and goes well with fried rice or hakka noodles.
