Corn, Mushroom and Spinach Bake

This recipe of a bake dish is slightly different from the regular pastas. This is healthy and tasty to eat. Try this instead of the regular pastas even if you are entertaining. It is easy to make.

For this bake you will need to boil one packet of corn and keep aside. Clean and chop one packet of mushroom and also clean and finely cut one bundle of spinach leaves. Heat one teaspoon of butter in a heavy bottom pan and add the mushroom and spinach to it. Cook till all the water evaporates and remove from the gas and keep aside.

For the sauce heat two cups milk to which two tablespoons of butter and grated cheese has been added. Once it begins to boil add two tablespoons of corn flour mixed in one cup of water and stir continuously. Cook till it thickens.If it becomes too thick you can add some more milk to it. Add salt and pepper to taste and remove from the gas. Mix the corn, mushroom and spinach leaves in to the sauce and keep aside.

For serving boil four to five potatoes and mash it with some milk and cheese and also some salt and pepper. Take a serving dish and press the potato mixture evenly all around the bowl. Now pour the sauce in to the bowl and ass lots of grated cheese on the top. Bake in an oven for thirty minutes at one hundred and sixty degrees Celsius or till the cheese becomes brown. Serve hot with garlic bread.

This recipe of bake dish can be part of your meal and goes well with any soup or also some bruchetta. The kids can eat is as a full meal as it is quite filling. If you are serving this to guests at a party add some red chili flakes and oregano to the bake dish while cooking. Avoid keeping leftovers for the next day as this bake will thicken when refrigerated and since it is made with milk it will also loose its freshness. The kids can also eat it with some ketchup if they want.
