Eggless Marble Cake
This cake looks like a large doughnut when made and can be eaten with or without icing. Once all the dry ingredients are sifted it hardly takes time to make. This is a good cake to make for your child’s birthday party.
Sift together two cups of white flour, one tablespoon of baking powder and one teaspoon soda. Keep aside. In a pan mix one tin of condensed milk and 125 grams of melted butter. Mix with an electric beater. To this gradually add the dry ingredients along with some drinking soda. Beat again. Add the remaining dry ingredients and all the soda and beat till the mixture is well mixed. When well mixed add some vanilla essence.
Remove about 6 tablespoons of the cake mixture in to another pan. To this add one tablespoon of cocoa powder and beat again. This will become brown. Now take a ring mold and apply butter all over it. Sprinkle white flour around it so that you can remove the cake when it sets. Pour half of the white mixture in to the ring. Over that pour the entire brown mixture; and over this pour the remaining white mixture. The cake will have three layers.
Bake this in an oven at one hundred and sixty degrees Celsius for forty minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and while still warm remove it from the mold and keep in a plate. The cake is ready. When you cut it you will see three distinct layers and you will notice that the chocolate layer has become wavy. It looks great from inside. This cake tastes best eaten warm along with some tea.
If you are making it for a birthday party then make chocolate sauce and fill some of it in to the ring and pour some all over the cake so that it falls all around it. This also looks amazing and also quite different from the usual round and square cakes. The cake can be stored in an air tight container for up to three days; though it is quite unlikely that you will have any left overs even after a day.
