But one thing you should keep in mind that milk should be skimmed or fat free milk.

So encourage your children to eat more fruits and vegetables from their very childhood to prevent osteoporosis in their mature age. Fresh fruits are good source of boron which helps in calcium absorption.
All types of grapes and grape juice are good in this disease. Eat dry fruits such as apricot, dates, prunes, raisin etc. to make your bone healthy by supplying a good amount of calcium and other minerals and this is necessary to keep osteoporosis at bay.
Many green and leafy vegetables such as kale, turnip, spinach are excellent source of calcium and other minerals and vegetables. Other minerals help calcium to be absorbed in the body. A recent research shows that higher intake of protein is associated with bone mineral density. Add good amount of fish in your daily diet.
Fish especially small fishes contain lots of minerals such as calcium, phosphorous, iodine, magnesium, etc. and less fat. Fish also contain omega-3 fatty acid which keeps you far from the bone related problem. Meat is also good for this disease. But avoids red meat at old age and be happy with chicken. Maintain this diet and stay away from all sorts of problem of osteoporosis.
