Healthy And Delicious Aloo Kurma

Ingredients

Onion 1
Potatoes 4
Tomatoes 3
Peas ½ cup
Ginger and Garlic paste
Coconut Powder 2 teaspoon
Red chilly Powder 2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder ½ teaspoon
Cumin seeds ½ teaspoon
Mustard seeds ½ teaspoon
Garam masala 2 teaspoon
Vegetable Oil
Curd 5 tablespoon
Salt
Water
Coriander leaves

Method

First, you can peel the potatoes and cut them into medium sized cubes. Wash them properly and put them in pressure cooker adding enough water. You have to cook them well and reserve. Then, chop the onion and tomatoes into thin pieces and keep aside.

Now, take a pan and heat it adding some Vegetable oil to it. As the oil gets hotter, add mustard seeds to it. Then, add cumin seeds and, when you see they start popping, add the sliced onion to the pan. You have to stir and fry the onion pieces until they get a light brown colour.

After that, you can add ginger garlic paste to the pan and fry it. After five or six minutes, add the tomato pieces, and stir well. Then, add peas to the mixture mixing it well and cook for some time in a medium flame.

When the tomato pieces are cooked well, you can add the boiled potatoes to the pan. Add required salt and blend it well with the mixture. After that, add red chili powder and turmeric powder to the pan. Cook the mixture for some time and add garam masala to it. Then, add coconut powder and blend it well. Now, you can add some water if required.

Then, cover the pan and cook it for at least fifteen minutes. Make sure that the heat is at a medium level and stir the mixture occasionally. When the potatoes are tender, pour the curd to the mixture and stir it well. After ten minutes, turn off the flame and transfer the mixture to a serving plate. Chop the coriander leaves and garnish the mixture finely. Now, your Aloo kurma is ready to be served.
