Healthy Lentil Curry With Added Benefits Of Wheat And Spices
All of us love to eat pulses, we can easily add health benefits to it by simply placing healthy ingredients into it. Use of pulses and wheat in a smart way not only increases its value as a health food. It is made tasty with good use of spices. Here I am telling you a recipe like that.
Stuff you need for the recipe-
You need 250 gm of lentil, 1 bowl of wheat flour, 8 green chilies, two big onions, garlic cloves ( 20), cumin seeds- a pinch, ginger- 1 inch piece, mustard oil- 4 tablespoons, salt – as per taste, turmeric powder- 2 tablespoon, coriander powder- 2 tablespoon, asafoetida- a pinch.
How To Cook?
Wash lentil properly then cook it adding 4 glasses of water. Turmeric powder, asafoetida, alt, coriander powder. Make a tight dough from the wheat flour. Now make round chapatis from this dough. Cut the chapatis into strips (ribbon like) with the help of knife.
Make strips from all the dough. Now open pressure cooker and add these strips and cook more up to two whistles.
Heat oil in a deep pan, now add cumin seeds. When these make cracking noise, add chopped onion, green chilies, garlic cloves and chopped ginger. Saute it till it becomes reddish brown. Then add cooked wheat macaroni. Mix it well and allow it to cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
Serving tip-
This macaroni is served hot. you can add fresh butter to it while serving it. you can also garnish it with fresh coriander leaves. you can also add vegetables of your choice to this recipe to make it more appealing as per your taste. but do not forget its specialty lies in its healthy ingredients.
