Ingredients:

Olive oil – 2 tbsp (additional for brushing)
Button mushrooms – 10 – 15 ( chopped in long pieces)
Baby Spinach – 4 cups
¾ fennel seeds
3-4 garlic cloves ( crushed)
Oregano – ½ teaspoon (dried)
Refined floor (1 tbsp) (for sprinkling)
Pizza dough – 1 pound
Cheese – 200 gm (grated)
Dried and crushed pepper – ¼ teaspoon

Method to prepare

Now follow these simple steps to make healthy calzone for your family and friends:

Wash and chop the baby spinach. And cut button mushrooms into large pieces. The pieces should be thin and longer in shape. First of all, preheat your oven to 425°F. Then take one large pan and put on the flame. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil into it. Keep the flame up to medium level. Now add mushrooms, fennel seeds and sauté it. When the mushrooms will become golden brown in color, add crushed garlic cloves, dried oregano and stir for another one minute.

Now you can add the fresh and chopped spinach into it. Let it cook until it becomes wilted completely. Now take this mixture into a medium sized bowl and season it with salt and pepper as per your taste. Now take a baking dish, place one silicon sheet onto it properly. Now sprinkle some dry refined floor on it. Now take the pizza dough, try to flatten it with your hand into a round shape. Please note that that all its boundaries should be uniform in shape and size. Now place it on the baking dish.

Here comes the third part of the recipe. In first half part of the roll, add one layer of cheese (grated) onto the dough. Then, place another layer of the spinach & mushroom mixture, and finally one more layer of the cheese on it. Sprinkle some crushed red pepper on it. Now cover the roll from other side and fold the extra edges. Brush some olive oil over the roll and keep in oven to bake.

Take it out after 20 minutes, till it becomes brown and puffed in look. Now cut it into half (in a zigzag way) and serve as a snack or a proper meal with beverages of your choice.
