Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream
The best part about this ice cream is its uncomplicated preparation guide that doesn’t include eggs and the outcome is spectacularly delicious.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
Total Time: 3 hours, 30 minutes
Whole milk (250 milliliters)
Light Cream (475 milliliters)
Dark sweet chocolate bars, 2 (75 grams each)
Dry unsweetened cocoa powder (29.50 grams)
Powdered sugar (100 grams)
Pour the milk and cream inside a cold pot followed by chunked pieces of milk/ dark chocolate, sieved cocoa powder and sugar. Place the pot over a very low flame and mix the constituents well with a wooden spatula. The gentle, slow flame will gradually soften the chocolate and ensure that it does not get burnt and stick to the pan base.
With constant stirring the mixture in the pan would eventually look similar to gorgeous chocolate milk which, is precisely what we are looking for. At this stage you will still notice some specks of dark chocolate in the mix that haven’t melted, which is the stage at which we would like to halt .
Place the mixture into a pitcher and allow chilling for a minimum of an hour under refrigeration. Once this is achieved we now commence with churning our homemade ice cream. We will use an ice cream maker or machine into which the refrigerated mix is poured in and left for around twenty minutes.
Those who do not own an ice cream machine can simply use a hard, heat-resistant kind of glass dish like Pyrex and pour the mix into it and freeze it for an hour. After that period take it out and empty it into a medium-sized bowl.
Whip it with an electric beater/ mixer till you get a soft ice cream or soft serve like consistency and place it back into freezer for some hours and you get the analogous outcome as that obtained by using an ice cream maker. Ladle out the soft ice cream into a plastic box and pop it into a freezer for 60-90 minutes and then serve it.
Homemade Creamy Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream
This is a simple delicious recipe of egg less ice cream that doesn’t require a ice cream machine and can be manually prepared.
Get ready to be floored with the crunchy taste of broken chocolate chip cookies while the creamy ice cream melts in your mouth.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 10 hours, 15 minutes
Dairy Milk chocolate bar (200 grams)
Light whipping cream (200 milliliters)
Chocolate chip cookies (200 grams)
Caramel Condensed milk with added sugar (400 grams)
Molten chocolate and chocolate sprinkles (optional)
Begin by splitting the chocolate bar into smaller-sized chunks in a bowl which must be placed into a microwave that is set on high setting for two minutes. At thirty seconds time intervals, remove the bowl and give the chocolate a good stir and continue doing this till two minutes are completed in the microwave. You are essentially looking for a runny stream of melted chocolate at the end of it and set aside for cooling.
Empty the contents of the chocolate chip cookies into a zip pouch bag and with either a rolling pin or pan base bash them up into assorted sized pieces.
The condensed milk and cream must then be whipped together in a large sized bowl using an electric beater at low setting till the mix thickens and peaks start forming at the top of the mix.
The bashed cookies are then emptied into the bowl and combined into it. Now pour in the melted chocolate and mix properly. Ladle out the mixture into individual ice cream cups or moulds, cover them and then place in the freezer for a minimum of ten hours. Pour some melted chocolate and some chocolate sprinkles over the scooped ice cream before serving.
