How To Make Ice Cream Cake
Ice cream cake is an exquisite frozen dessert that always makes any occasion special. Ice cream cakes are lovely chilled alternating layers of cake and ice cream that make up a truly rich and creamy delight to savour.

Light Sponge Cake

Ingredients for Sponge Cake
Egg (whites and yellows segregated), (8)
Sugar, granulated cane (200 grams)
Flour, well-sifted all purpose (100 grams)
Corn starch (60 grams)
Plain butter, melted (50 grams)
Vanilla extract (a teaspoon)
Procedure
Commence by setting the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. The yellow portion of eight eggs must be whisked manually or in a mixer at high speed till they develop a creamy consistency. Duo tablespoons of granulated sugar is then added after about a minute and whisking has to continue till the mix turns thick in consistency. At this stage the vanilla extract is added and whisked continually till the mix increases to twice its original volume and then set aside in a separate glass bowl.
The white portions of the eggs are then mixed in another medium-sized bowl till they turn whitish and foamy. Now gradually combine the rest of the sugar into the mix in small quantities till it develops a stiff consistency and clings to the wire whisk.
The next step involves combining the whisked up white and yellow mixtures by folding them together with a rubber spatula, though avoid over-mixing. The final batter is prepared by gradually adding the sifted cornstarch and flour and combining together without overly mixing the ingredients. Now mix in the melted butter.

Empty the batter evenly into a baking dish measuring nine by thirteen inches that has been lined with parchment paper. The pan must be slightly shaken for removing any air. Now bake it for around thirty minutes and check by passing a toothpick or wooden skewer which comes out clean when done. Take out of the oven and set aside to cool. Loosen the cake from the sides of the baking dish with knife and place on a serving dish.

Ice cream in strawberry and chocolate flavours (2 litres)
Sponge Cake
Heavy Cream (for icing)
Chocolate candies (quarter cup)
Multicolored sprinkles for decoration
Diced fruits of choice (2 tablespoons)
Flavoured liquer of choice (one-fourth cup)
Procedure
Take duo different flavours of ice cream and soften them. Place each of them in spring form pans measuring the same size as that of your sponge cake and then freeze them. This will ensure that one gets even and perfect sized discs of ice-cream that properly line up with the sponge cake during the assembling process and looks spectacular.
Work your way horizontally with a sharp knife through the sponge cake to get three equally thick discs. Place the bottom disc of the cake on a serving platter. Sprinkle on some of the flavoured liqueur over the cake. Now gently remove the ice cream from the spring form pan and line it up over the sponge cake.
Gently place a layer of the sponge cake and drizzle with some flavoured liqueur followed by another disc of a different ice cream flavour and then topped with the final layer of cake. The cake must be frozen for at least an hour till it is quite firm. Now remove the cake after this time period and decorate with whipping cream or molten chocolate and a generous sprinkling of candies, diced fruits or ornate sprinkles. Enjoy.
