Beef ¾ kg
Tomato puree 1-1/2 Cups
Onions (large) 4
Ground cumin 1-1/2 tablespoon
Ground cayenne pepper 1/2 tablespoon
Turmeric 1 teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Canola oil 1/2 Cup
Raw sugar 1/2 Cup
whipping cream 1 Cup
Dried mint 1-1/2 teaspoon
Before you start cooking, you ought to prepare the ingredients appropriately. In order to do that, you can wash the beef and cut into small thin pieces. Then, slice the onions thinly and reserve both ingredients. Now, take a deep bottomed frying pan and heat it in a medium to high flame adding Canola oil to it.
When you see the oil is ready for frying, you can add sliced onion to it and start stirring. Keep the flame in a medium level and fry the onions until they get a light brown color. After that, add tomatoes puree to the pan and keep stirring. See when the newly added ingredient turns soft, and then, you can add turmeric, cumin, and cayenne to it stirring well.
You may have to heat the mixture, stirring occasionally, at least for five minutes. In between, you can add needed salt and blend it well with the mixture. When the mixture turns into a pulpy form or it becomes saucy, add the whipping cream and cook it for another five minutes. You have to stir it whenever required.
When a curry is prepared, you can add the beef pieces to the mixture. Stir well once and increase the heat, covering the pan tightly. Now, you need to cook it at least for six to seven minutes. Open the pan in between and stir the mixture. See if the beef is cooked finely (if you over cook the beef, the dish will lose taste. So, keep an eye on it).
As you realize the meat is tender, you can add raw sugar along with mint and blend both ingredients with the dish. Now, reduce the heat and cook it until the sugar is fully melted with the meat. After that, remove the pan from heat and keep it aside without removing the cover.
After five or six minutes, remove the cover and transfer the dish to a serving plate. Now, you can chop the coriander leaves and sprinkle over the dish. Your beef curry is ready to be served now. You can serve it with cooked Rice or Chapati.
