How To Prepare Luscious Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients

Pastry (for a 9 inch single crust pie) 1 recipe
Bacon 12 slices
Swiss Cheese 1 cup
Onion 1/3 cup
Eggs 4
Light Cream 2 cups
Salt 3/4 teaspoon
White Sugar 1/4 teaspoon
Cayenne Pepper 1/8 teaspoon
Vegetable oil

Method

One of the simple tricks of cooking is to prepare the ingredients suitable for the dish in the first step of your cooking. So, you can start your pursuit with the same trick itself. First, you can peel and slice the onions thinly. Then, mince those onion pieces well and set aside. After that, you can get a finely washed bowl and add all four eggs to it. Beat it with a spoon until it is puffy. After reserving this ingredient covering the bowl, you can shred Swiss cheese finely and put aside.

As you finished the first step, you can go to next step. In this step, the slices of bacon have to be fried properly. For that, you ought to get a large sized skillet and heat it on the medium heat. After sometime, as the skillet gets hotter pour some vegetable in it and add the slices of bacon. Fry them for some time and, when they become crunchy, transfer them to a plate draining them with tissue papers. After sometime, chop them into small pieces and keep aside.

Making a mixture using the beaten egg and cream is the next step. You need to take the bowl in which you kept the beaten egg and combine the light cream in it. Stir continuously and sprinkle salt and cayenne pepper over the mixture. You can keep blending it and add sugar to it after sometime.

Now, make the pastry shell following the instructions dictated on the packet. Then, place it in the dish. After that, you can sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese to the pastry shell. Then, add the minced onions and the chopped bacon to it. After that, you have to pour the egg-cream mixture to it.

Next, you need to heat an oven at a high heat and, as it is ready, put the dish in it and bake. After baking it for 20 minutes in the same heat, decrease the heat to medium level and bake it for another 25 minutes. After that, you can take it out and set aside till it gets cooled. Your quiche lorraine is prepared now. You need to cut it into cubes or any other shapes before you serve it for your guests. You can garnish it with some candies, if you wish.
