We have heard it a thousand times before that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, like the phrase goes – Breakfast like a king, Lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.

It is supposed to be the main meal because as the name suggests you are breaking the fast of 12-14 hours and refuelling your body.But the truth is most of us tend to ignore eating breakfast for many reasons – some because they are used to having breakfast on the run from a young age itself.

It’s not uncommon for these folks to develop similar habits as adults like skipping breakfast altogether or just enjoying a cup of coffee they grab from their local coffee shop on the way to work.

Another reason why they skip breakfast is because they think they’ll lose weight, it may seem like a sensible thing to do because you can snuggle in under the sheets for some more time and take your time to get dressed for the day. But the truth is that those who have a good breakfast in the morning lose weight easily.

The main reasons why we need to eat breakfast is because it provides the first source of energy that our body needs for being active and productive the whole day.If you skip this meal you tend to feel tired and lethargic the whole day.

So now we have almost determined how important breakfast is for us to have a normal fruitful day, but eating the right things for breakfast is equally important. Stuffing a toast and a banana down your throat while you are rushing out of th house is not considered to be a healthy breakfast. You’ll need to sit down and enjoy your meal thoroughly. Eating the right food will keep your hunger at bay till lunch time and also will prevent you from unnecessary snacking in between meals.
