Many people want to reduce their weight and for this most of them are even ready to skip their foods. But it only makes them weak and makes them prone to many deficiency related diseases.. Instead of skipping foods people can take low calorie food that supply essential nutrients and keeps you healthy.

Snacks Having Low Calories

Whole Wheat Burgers

Whole wheat products has got good health benefits and is a good source of dietary fiber, manganese, magnesium, vitamin etc.As the benefits of whole wheat are being recognized by the people, they are taking more and more whole wheat products.

The whole wheat burger can be an ideal snack that can be prepared in 15 minutes only. The following recipe helps to make six burgers.

For making cutlets, take three teacups of finely chopped mixed vegetables, ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder, one tablespoon chopped coriander, one green chilly chopped to pieces and salt in a bowl and keep aside.

Thereafter mix one tablespoon of wheat flour with other ingredients and divide the entire mixture in to six parts and roll each part in to patties. Thenceforth pour one tablespoon oil into a frying pan and fry both the sides of these patties till they become golden brown in color

Now take six brown bread buns and cut them in to half. Spread mustard sauce and tomato sauce mixed with chilly sauce on either half of the bun. Take twelve tomato slices and place two each in between each bread bun along with two lettuce leaves and one onion slices. Place the hot cutlets in between the bun and serve. This will provide 25 gram cholesterol, 3.4 gram fat and 5 gram proteins in each serving.

Tuna Sandwich

Tuna sandwich is made with cooked and canned tuna. Fresh tuna can also be used but only after cooking. Mix the cooked tuna with low calorie salad dressing and chopped coriander leaves. Also mix finely chopped vegetables, onion and chilies with tuna. Use whole wheat pita pocket instead of the white bread and fill it with this tuna. This will supply extra fiber and nutrients while limiting the calorie intake to 150 calories.

Dark Chocolate Dipped Strawberry

Take one ounce of dark chocolate and melt it to dip fresh strawberries in this. Dark chocolate is enriched with antioxidants. This snack will help limit your calorie intake to 150 calories plus at the same time it’ll help to quench the craving for sweets.
