Carbohydrates give energy to our body. 55% of calories comes from carbohydrates which we intake everyday.We can say carbohydrates provide fuel for our physical activities. Carbohydrates also help in construction of body cells. But high carbohydrate in your diet can harm your health. Usually low carbohydrates are useful to control weight and you can restrict to low carbohydrates for obesity treatment. Low carbohydrates diet means that you get fewer calories and hence you get less energy. You can get energy from protein and fats in place of carbohydrates.

You should cut white foods from your diet such as bread, rice, sugar, cake and potatoes because all these foods are rich in carbohydrates.You can add onion, cauliflower and tofu in your diet because these foods are low in carbohydrates and helps you to control your blood pressureLow carbohydrate diet decreases excessive insulin. You should include insulin resistant diet. Low carbohydrate diet can increase bad cholesterol level. Give below are some low carbohydrate diets.

A diet which has no carbohydrates but high in proteins and fats is known as ketogenic diet. In this type of diet glucose is used for providing energy to the body. This diet is good for weight loss. Neanderthin is a low carbohydrate diet. In this type of diet, less grain are consumed. Rosedale diet is a low carbohydrate diet. It has less starchy carbohydrates and more fats. The south beach diet is also very low in carbohydrates. In this diet we consume low Glycemic Index and unrefined carbohydrates. Atkins diet is also a low carbohydrate diet.

Low carbohydrates diet helps our body to stay away from health related problems. We should make a balance of carbohydrates by burning the calories with physical activities. Carbohydrates gather in the form of fats. Due to these fats, more than 60%of children and adults are overweight. Low carbohydrate diet controls the amount of carbohydrates intake in the body. In low carbohydrate diet, we should include supplements of minerals and multi vitamins. Low carbohydrate diet helps in mental concentration and it improves our dental hygiene as well. Low carbohydrates diet improves our skin texture.
