There are many forms of exercise and no matter which form you may adopt, there are in numerous myths surrounding them. Here are a few of the famous myths relating to exercises.

Myth1: There is nothing called spot reduction. People do not have an even body. Some parts of the body are fatter than the others, while some parts of the body are leaner than the others. Each individual has some problem area or the other. These problem areas are known to be prone to gaining weight, no matter what you do or eat.

Some forms of exercise promise to target only these problematic areas. They promise to shed weight from those areas alone, where it is difficult to shed weight from. For example, sit ups are known to target only the abdominal area and lose weight from that area. Scientifically speaking, this is not possible. No matter what exercise you may do, you will lose weight from over all body and no one specific part.

Myth2: Woman, who exercise on a daily basis are known to gain muscles instead of lowing weights. This is a common misconception amongst woman. Scientifically, a woman cannot burn calories and convert them into muscles. This is an uncommon phenomenon and cannot happen under the normal exercise regime.

Myth: 3 The finest time to work out so as to lose weight is known to be early morning. This is one more big myth. Each one of us, have a separate and unique body clock. Each one of us has a separate period of time during the day, when they perform the best and to their fullest. The best way to lose weight is to identify your body clock and work out during peak times. Some people feel more comfortable, to work out during the early mornings and while some feel comfortable to work out during evening times. The idea is to understand your body well and chalk out a proper exercise regime around it.

Apart from the ones discussed above; there are a plethora of other myths relating to exercises. Try and find out whether the exercise regime adopted by you is actually as beneficial as it promises to be.
