Beef 1 kg
Broccoli (Fresh) 1 bunch
Top Round Steak 1 pound
Oil ¼ cup
Green Onions 7
Soy Sauce 3 tablespoon
Water ½ cup
Sherry ¼ cup
Sugar 1 tablespoon
Powdered Ginger ¼ teaspoon
Cornstarch 2 teaspoon
Lemon (to garnish the dish) 2
In the first stage of your preparation, you can wash the beef properly and chop it into small fine pieces. Next, you have to wash the broccoli finely and slice it appropriately. Then, slice the top round steak thinly and chop the onions into thin pieces. After that, you can reserve these ingredients.
Now, take a frying pan and heat it in a medium fire adding two tablespoon oil to it. As you see the oil is ready for frying, add the beef pieces to it and stir. When the beef pieces get a brown color, you can remove them from the pan and keep aside.
After that, add some oil to the pan and heat it for some time. Then, add the sliced broccoli to the pan and stir well. After some time, add the sliced onion to the pan. You have to fry them stirring occasionally for at least five minutes.
At the same time, take a small cup filled with ¼ cup of water and add soy sauce to it. Add cornstarch and sherry to it and blend well. After preparing a fine mixture, pour it into the pan. Stir it once and add sugar to the mixture. Then, add the ginger to the pan and stir it once again.
After some time, add the fried beef to the pan and cover it tightly. Cook the mixture keeping the flame in a medium level. After some time, see if both broccoli and beef are tender, then, turn off the flame. Now, remove the cover and transfer the mixture to a plate. Chop the lemon into small pieces and sprinkle over the dish. Your Broccoli beef is now ready to be served.
