Simple Chicken Curry Recipe

Chicken is a very nutritious food. It boosts up muscle power without adding much fat and calories. Everyone can eat chicken. People who have restriction on red meat can eat chicken happily.

Here is a very tasty, simple and nutritional recipe of chicken which when consumed will boost your health.



Ingredients:

500 grams chicken
2 onions
1 inch ginger
2-3 cloves of garlic
3-4 black pepper seed
4-5 green chili
1 large potato
1 large tomato
Salt
sugar
Cooking oil
Butter

Preparation:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium size cubes. After washing rub salt on potato. Chop one onion. Make a fine paste of other onion, ginger and garlic. Grind black pepper seeds and keep them aside.

Wash chillies and keep them aside. Do not slit. Keep chilies intact. Chop tomato very finely. Take chicken and cut it into small pieces. Rub salt over them.

Process:

Heat oil and fry those chicken pieces. Remove them from water and keep them aside. Now fry potato pieces and keep them aside. After that add chopped onions in the oil. When they are almost fried add garlic and ginger paste. Fry all of them well.

Add tomato. Sprinkle salt over tomato to get tender. Stir well. Add whole green chili and fried potato.  Sprinkle ½ teaspoon sugar. Mix everything well and keep the lid on. When the potatoes are almost tender, add fried chicken pieces. Cook them also for two or three minutes.

Make sure that they have become tender. After they get soft and the whole preparation has turned into thick gravy, remove them from heat and add a tablespoon of butter in the preparation.

Serve the preparation hot with bread or rice.

Tips: It is better to choose the breast portion of the chicken. Wash chicken breast with warm water to remove that slithery smelly thing from the outer portion of chicken.

You can also make the preparation with soft lamb meat.  If you like the hot taste of chicken then slit green chilies and cook them along with other spices. You can also use black pepper instead of green chili.
