Soy Lasagna
For those who are vegetarian this is a great recipe for lasagna. It looks exactly like the lasagna Bolognese and tastes almost like it too. Soy is also very healthy to eat and when made like this you will not be able to tell if you are eating meat or soy.
This recipe takes a bit long to make but it tastes great and all the effort is worth it. First make the red sauce. For this heat oil in a pressure cooker and add one grated onion and make brown. To this add one teaspoon of garlic paste and cook.Now add one cup of soy granules and cook for at least ten minutes.
Add tomato puree and cook till it thickens. Lastly add one tablespoon of tomato ketchup and chili sauce and salt to taste. Add one teaspoon of sugar and some oregano. Add enough water to cook it and close the cooker. Cook for at least eight to ten whistles and remove from the gas.
For the whit sauce heat one sup of milk and add grated cheese and butter to it. Once it begins to boil add one tablespoon of corn flour mixed with water and add to the milk. Stir till it thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste and remove from the gas.
In a serving dish place the lasagna strips and pour one layer of the soy vegetable over it. Over that pour one layer of white sauce and again place the lasagna strips over the white sauce. Continue making layers till all the sauce is over. Grate lots of cheese on top and bake for half and hour at one hundred and eighty degrees Celsius.
This can be eaten as a meal and is better eaten at dinner time. It is quite filling and your kids wil definitely not make a fuss to eat this delicious lasagna. If you usually do not like eating soy; you will surely like this as you will not even be able to tell that the recipe if lasagna is made with soy and not meat. It is really a good option of a vegetarian lasagna
