Strawberry Mousse
If you enjoy making dessert and love strawberries then this is the perfect recipe for you. This tastes great when eaten chilled and the kids will simply love this delicious recipe and the great thing about it is that it is healthy.
For this recipe of strawberry mousse you will first need to make a base. For the base you will need one packet of unsweetened biscuits. Crush the biscuits and add four to five tablespoons of melted butter in to it. Now add five tablespoons of Castor sugar to it and mix it with your fingers. It will become like a dough. Press this on your serving dish and freeze it.
For the strawberry mousse warm one cup of water and add one packet of gelatin to it and keep aside. In another pan beat two hundred grams cream mixed with two tablespoons of sugar. Whip till soft peaks form. Now take strawberry ice cream to it and mix well. Do not beat it when you add the ice cream; mix it with a spoon instead. Now pour the gelatin mixture in to it and beat with an electric beater. Add some finely cut strawberry pieces in to the mixture and pour it over the base and allow it to set in the fridge for st least four to five hours.
If you don’t like strawberries you can use chocolate ice cream instead and it will taste just as good. This is a good dessert to make if you are entertaining or if you want to surprise the kids with something sweet. They will definitely love it as it is full of ice cream and strawberries. It is good to make in the summer as it tastes good when chilled and eaten.
You can set it in a large dish or even set it in small bowls and serve them individually. Once the base for the mousse is ready it hardly takes any time to make.
