Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

Research says that people who don’t eat “Mangoes” and “Strawberries” miss some real pleasure in life! Strawberries render a lot of health as well as beauty benefits to your body and make you feel refreshed and energetic all day long.

Do you have a strawberry no-taster in your own family? Not to worry. The following recipe on strawberry smoothie will let the no-tasters die for strawberry and becoming irresistible for this fruit. This food item will suit not only the adults in the family but also kids. Indeed, a great dish to serve during your kids’ birthday party or friends’ get-together. Here it goes.

Preparation time: 10–15 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1–2 persons

Ingredients:
• Vanilla soy yogurt – ½ cup
• Strawberries (fresh or frozen) – ½ cup
• Ice cubes – 2–3
• Vanilla extract – 2 tsp
• Sugar – little to make the smoothie sweeter

Method:
Note: Strawberry smoothie tastes wonderful with fresh strawberries. However, if fresh ones are not readily available, you can make use of the frozen strawberries.
1. Wash strawberries to remove all dirt and cut each fruit into two pieces.
2. Add yoghurt, strawberries, ice cubes and vanilla extract to a blender and blend until smooth.
3. Although strawberries are very sweet, if you still want your smoothie to be sweeter, add some sugar to it.
4. Transfer the smoothie to a serving cup and place a thinly cut strawberry slice on top of the smoothie to decorate it.
5. Serve cold.
6. If your kids or family members are not very fond of strawberry, you can replace this fruit with any other fruit of their preference.
