Pasta is among the favorite food of many. However, like all other yummy food items, pasta is also loaded with a number of calories and thus becomes an unhealthy choice. Especially if you are a health-conscious eater, you would be limiting your consumption of many tasty items like pasta. Pasta with Yogurt & Fruits



Required Ingredients:

Cooked pasta – 16 ounces
Yogurt (fat-free) – 1 cup
Frozen orange juice concentrate – ¼ cup
Honey – 1 tablespoon
Red and green grapes: a cup each (halved and without seeds)
Drained Mandarin oranges – 11 ounce
Diced celery – ½ cup
Chopped red apple – 1 with skin
Chopped walnuts – ½ cup

Preparation

Add orange juice concentrate and honey to yogurt and keep aside. Now mix all other ingredients with pasta. Now add the yogurt mixture to the pasta and toss well. Transfer this final mixture to a large bowl and refrigerate it till chill.

Enjoy your amazingly healthy pasta that is low in fat but high in nutrients.

Pasta with Sun Dried Tomatoes

Required Ingredients:

Fettuccine noodles: ½ cup
Parmesan cheese – ½ cup grated
Sun-dried tomatoes – 1 cup
Extra virgin olive oil – 2 tablespoon
Pine nuts – ¼ cup
Minced garlic cloves – 5
Grounded black pepper – ½ cup
Dried and crushed basil – ½ tsp
Red Chili flakes – ½ tsp
Crushed dried thyme – ½ tsp
Salt – ¼ tsp
Boiling water – 1 cup

Preparation

Cook fettuccine in a boiling water and by the time heat 1 tsp olive oil in a pan. Now, cook pine nuts in the oil and set aside once they are brown. Soften the dried tomatoes by placing them in a bowl of boiling water and chop them after they become tender. Heat the remaining olive oil in a medium sized pan and add chopped tomatoes, garlic, pepper, salt, chili flakes, basil and thyme to cook for three to four minutes. Your next step is to add the water that was left after draining tomatoes. When the fettuccine is cooked, you must toss it with sauce after draining it well.

Finally, top the preparation with pine nuts and cheese before serving.
