Onion – two medium sized onions
Garlic – four cloves
Tomatoes – four cans of chopped tomatoes
Stock – one pint
Dried Basil – one tablespoon
Low calorie olive oil or fat spray
Keep a frying pan on the stove on low flame and add some low calorie fat spray. Then cut the onion in to small pieces and add these diced onion to the pan. Fry the onion till it becomes golden brown. Now add the four cans of tomatoes that are chopped finely to this pan. Allow them to boil and keep it in a low flame for about five minutes. Then add one pint of stock solution of your preference. You can also use vegetable stock for this purpose. Allow the entire mixture to boil and then again keep it on low flame for another 5 minutes. Now you can add one tablespoon of dried basil. Add pepper and salt as per your taste. You can blend this mixture if required. Tomatoes – two pounds
Basil – fresh basil of one bunch
Vegetables broth – two cups
Garlic – two cloves
Olive oil – two teaspoon
Balsamic Vinegar – two tablespoon
Pepper and salt to taste
Add all the ingredients to a blender and process them till it attains a smooth consistency. Then transfer the entire contents to a large saucepan and keep it on low flame for about 10 minutes.
