Most of the people are aware of the foods that increases or decreases their weight. But only a few people knows about drinks that help to reduce weight. Even if you take utmost care in your food intake you are unknowingly adding calories by drinking high calorie beverages. The drinks that you take daily may help you to alter your metabolism and appetite and there by helps you to reduce your calorie intake. Here are some drinks that plays an important role in weight loss by reducing the daily calorie intake.
Water
Now a day people are addicted to soda which adds hundreds of calories to your daily intake. Instead of taking carbonated soft drinks you can switch to diet soda. But diet soda is at times found to cause sweet tooth in people and thus causing adverse effect. Energy drinks are also considered as calorie bombs and hence should be avoided. The best alternative is always pure water. Taking two glasses of water just before your meals will help you to get a feeling of fullness with little food.
Juices
Juices are always rich with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants but if you are adding sugar to your fruit juice then it will increase your calorie intake. So it is better to take a hundred percent pure fruit juice with out any added sweeteners. You can also take fruit juice mixed with water to reduce the calorie count. You can also prefer vegetable juice which is rich in fiber content and hence helps you to control your appetite. Vegetable juice contains almost half of the calorie of fruit juice.
Low Fat Milk
Drink milk that contain of low fat and this helps you to get enough calcium. Calcium in turn plays a role in burning the fat. Deficiency of calcium in your diet increases the fat cell production. You can also make smoothies with berries, banana etc. While making smoothies use skim milk and fresh fruits and avoid all other sweeteners. Smoothie will give you a feeling of fullness.
Green Tea
The phytochemicals present in green tea helps you to burn fat and calories while helping you to charge yourself with the caffeine present in it.
Black Coffee
Black coffee is rich with antioxidants and is free of calories. It helps you to improve your concentration and mood and lower the risks for getting diabetes and cancer. If you add cream, sugar, flavored syrup etc then it becomes high in calories and sometimes become more than what you get from your meals.
Wine coolers, cocktails, beer etc are found to add calories and hence better avoid them.
